Cross Cultural Identities: Feminism and Sexuality in South Asia
Feminism and Sexuality in South Asia consists of various tenets that span a myriad of issues. From fighting for more gay pride parades and feminist walks in the cities of South Asia, to concern about increasing rates of female infanticide and the societal stifling of sexuality, activists of South Asia have a Pandora's box to tackle. Dr Geentanjali Chanda, Senior Lecturer in the WGSS department of Yale and Dr Madhavi Murty, visiting international professor and expert in Women's, Gender and Sexuality studies address vital questions related to the changing role of women and perspectives on sexuality in South Asian society. A panel discussion will be followed by questions from the audience.
It's that time of year again. Learn some moves as we celebrate SAS's most sinful party of the year. This is your chance to mingle with the hottest South Asians in the tri-state area as they tear up the dance floor at Thali Too. The night won't end unless Thali Too overheats.
